Description
Hello Friends! Welcome to a new edition of Math Basics.
This course will teach you the fundamentals of fractions and decimals. The course is designed in such a way that we will begin with the most fundamental concepts and work our way up to some of the more advanced sections. We all know that a fraction is a portion of a whole represented by two terms known as the numerator (top part) and a denominator (bottom part). A decimal is a fraction with a denominator that is a power of ten that can be written with a decimal point. Aren't you curious as to why it's a part of the whole? If that's the case, why are there terms like proper fractions and improper fractions? Why is your improper fraction greater than a whole? What plans do you have to address these concerns? If you want to apply this to more advanced problems, you must first understand the fundamental concepts.
This lesson plan focuses on teaching fractions and decimals in a conceptual, enjoyable, and engaging way. No long boring lectures, just a few concepts and we are good to go. All you need is a basic understanding of Math vocabulary. This course will focus on the following sections:
1. Introduction to Fractions
2. Multiplication and Division of Fractions
3. Introduction to Decimals
4. Multiplication and Division of Decimals
5. Practice problems on Fractions
6. Practice problems on Decimals
