In this Skillshare class youll learn how to imitate Vincent van Goghs iconic painting style!Your project will be to create your own portrait in this style, using the knowledge and guidelines presented in this class. Youll learn how to deconstruct a work of art and use the components to create your own interpretation.
Well be using the oil painting technique but all you really need is just a few basic colors, a canvas and a some brushes.
Ill take you through my process, from finding the suitable reference images, sketching your idea, preparing the canvas and mixing colors and all the way to the finished artwork!
While having some prior experience in this technique is going to be helpful, you dont need to be an expert in oil painting to discover your inner van Gogh, so the bners are welcome to follow the class!
