It's almost Valentine's Day and love is in the air!
At least for everyone but me.
But that's okay. I'm perfectly fine being single, even if it has been almost two years since I had a serious boyfriend. But hey, who's counting? I don't want to force love. I'm sure when I least expect it, Cupid will send the right man along to sweep me off my feet.
Unfortunately, it seems Cupid has an odd sense of humor. That's made even clearer when I accidentally walk in on Nelson- my childhood nemesis- in, shall we say, a compromising position. What's worse? Nelson seems to derive great pleasure from tormenting me.
But he's obviously not The One. There's no way! He's my best friend's twin brother. Completely off-limits. I don't care how sexy his smile is or that he once professed his love for me. He's the worst. I should hate his guts.
So why does my heart skip a beat every time he's around?

At first, it started out as a joke. After Cassie literally caught me with my pants around my ankles, I wanted nothing more than to make her blush. It was funny watching her sputter, trying to pretend like nothing happened.
Seeing her again after all these years wasn't supposed to dig up old feelings. She was my sister's annoying little friend. Nothing more.
So why do I get this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see her with another man?
